Parabolic tempo change/flange effect

Okay, I’ve figured out exactly what you need to do to re-create a smooth flanging effect as in the guide mix and it’s pretty simple.

1. create your D cr vari ‘loop’ from bars 47 to 63 as instructed in stage 24 on the “remix detail” pdf:

2. copy those 16 bars onto a newly created stereo audio track (”D reg”)

NB:  If you playback from bar 47 now, before you implement the tempo change, the sound should be constant and smooth with no phase/flange effects

3. change the tempo between 47 to 63 as instructed in the latest blog update, using a parabolic curve and you’ll hear a smooth flanging effect (descending harmonic).

NB: the copy and paste is critical.  If you try to place separately edited regions of D together, you’ll end up with a ‘lumpy’ effect with ’stepped’ harmonic changes on all the edit points.
